robinb Posted May 7, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2022 Compared to a known Type 30 training bayonet. It strongly resembles a Type 30 but at the same time has many differences, like the longer handle; catch button on the opposite side; lower and larger muzzle ring. What do I have here? No markings. robinb Posted December 2, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted December 2, 2022 One a whim I tried it on a British No1MK3 and it almost fits. The handle is a little long and the muzzle ring just a hair too small.
robinb Posted December 11, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted December 11, 2022 Finally got an answer. It's a Type 18 Chinese Mauser bayonet. I surmise that it's a Japanese training model as the blade is not sharpened or marked.
