Joe Posted May 8, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2022 Certainly not WW2 and not military related Its a climbing stick for Mount Fuji. 1980 is probably the year if I had to guess... you can buy this exact style flag and stick even today but in recent years the flags seem to be made of a more synthetic material. They are sold at shops before starting the climb and at the various stations on the way to the summit you can get the stick stamped like this one is. The writing is just about Fuji...
