patches Posted May 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2022 Came across this the other day, a Knights Cross Holder wearing Red or Carmine SS like rank collar patche, with narrow multi colored shoulder straps, Silver intertwined with Black or Dark Green? and on the other patch what looks like what, a propeller? any IDes? Originally this was a ceremonial unit tasked with guarding sites that were venerated by the NSDAP. Once the war started, some elements were transferred to the luftwaffe and the army. Those who served in the original guard unit and those who were transffered to the army units were allowed to wear an honor cufftitle "Feldherrnhalle."
