This is my father, then Maj L.G. Ditta, XO 2/7, with a CNA Colonel Tai. Can't find anything about the action mentioned anywhere else.

Headline should read Chinese officer 1946, but could not see how to change it.

Yes post war uniform, started to appear late 1945. I think they wore the collar tabs for a few years until 1947 or so when they switched to US style insignia (branch on collar and rank on shoulder). They kept that uniform design until the very early 1950s and switched to a HBT cloth version which lasted until the late 50s/early 60s. After they use the green US Class A and still use it today. Here is a picture of me with the same type of uniform with the Marshall HQ patch as an officer representing the ROC side.
