Quist M35

Hello everyone!

Here's the most monetarily valuable helmet I own and certainly one of my favorites:

A Q64 with a war time refurb, the liner is completely untouched with tight split pins and steel bales. I feel real lucky having gotten a refurbished Quist with the correct Quist decal as well! It's real worn, but retain to two most identifiable features of a thin beaked bigfoot decal. Each of the brass split pins retain remnants of apple green paint, presumably the original finish of this helmet. Regrettably there is no trace of the textured grey paint on any of the pins, but they certainly make the helmet more visually interesting imho.

The chinstrap is my own addition, bought from Ken N. It's stamped 'Rahm Kampmann, Wuppertal', though the 'Rahm' is cut off. The chinstrap was of similar vintage as my helmet, I couldn't pass it up!

And a side note, I do not display the helmet with the chinstrap bent over the front lip. I only did so for the photoshoot, the thing's solid, but far too fragile to subject it to constant pressure like that.

Enjoy!

A nice named helmet.  I like these refurbished and re-issued steel helmets.  They often have a particularly interesting story to tell.
