Yes I looked it up and it seems to be Cyrillic. Can anyone translate this to English for me? Thanks.

I would say it is related to the Mongolian Parachute Badge you posted and I IDed.

Thanks Patches will try to get translated to see if it is Airborne associated.

The first word I have translated as AIRBORNE so it is related to the mongolian parachutist. I can not translate the second word.

Asked a friend who's gf is Russian. The alphabet is Cyrillic, but the language is indeed Mongolian and reads 'Airborne Troops'. She could read it but not understand so she looked in a Mongolian dictionary.
