mvmhm Posted August 14, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2022 This was a nice surprise in a group that came in yesterday. Corporal William T. Doorley served in the Supply Company, 333 Infantry Regiment, 84th Division. The helmet was made by Eisenhuettenwerke Thale A.G., Thale/Harz (ET64), and is in good shape...missing the chinstrap and the pad tie has torn away, but the three pads are present and they still have their horse hair padding. There appears (to me) to be the remnants of a name written/scratched on the rim. Mark sends

snake36bravo Posted October 26, 2022 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2022 Nice helmet and especially that it has the owner history associated with it. How hard it is to source an original chin strap? I picked up an original M16 camo last week but sadly no chinstrap and just the liner band survived plus 1 chinstrap hook.
