This unhallmarked fallschirmjager badge is listed on eBay. I don’t know much about these and don’t own any but am curious as to whether it’s real or a repro fake. Any thoughts on this piece.

Not the best photos, but it appears to have pretty weak details and it's not a variant I've seen.  I'm curious to hear what others have to say though.

One obvious thing is that it has been de-Nazified with the removal of the swastika in the eagle talons.

The rivets look wrong, and the pin setup doesn't seem right, too thick, sometimes, pieces are de-nazified to add a presence of originality, mostly to deceive buyers, just my two cents, wait for others or try War Relics Forum / Wehrmacht Awards Forum for further information.. G

Thanks for the assessments. The pictures used are from the eBay listing and not mine. I heard as a kid if it seems to good to be true it probably is. I looked at this badge with some skepticism after looking at images of other Fallschirmjager badges of the period and reading about them. As I said before I have no experience with these so your experience and input helps me learn what to look for that is good and is not. Thanks again.

Complete junk...that type of wedge-shaped pin is a dead giveaway, and eBay is littered with de-Nazified badges with that pin style...avoid at all costs!
