The metal fittings on the chinstrap may or may not be original WW1 era fittings. Can we see close up image of the stitching on the chinstrap where it attaches to the adjustment buckles, and a closer view of the rough texture on the chinstrap leather, both front and back side of the strap (inner back side of strap, I should clarify).
