patches Posted October 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2022 As seen on General Gustav Von Zangen, never heard of this award till I looked at Von Zangen's Wiki and seen this unfamiliar badge he's wearing and looked for it. A rare award as it seems only 2,000 were awarded, we presume to both Officers and Men. As an aside Von Zangen should be wearing an Infantry Assault Badge as he started the war as a Colonel and Regimental Commander of the 88th Infantry Regiment 15th Infantry Division in the Poland , West in 1940 and the first few months in Russia 1941.
