Finally had time to make a video again. 😀

To the brand with the number 1.

Whether the bearer with the number 1 was also the commander in this department is unfortunately not certain with stamps.

Can but doesn't have to 🙄

It should be certain that the bearer is from the staff of the II department.

Battle in Alsace.

The 1089 Artillery Regiment was formed on October 8, 1944 on the Upper Rhine. The regiment was only a II. and III. Department set up and placed under the 189th Infantry Division. Under this regiment was destroyed in February 1945 in Alsace. The regimental staff was then deployed to Division 805. The headquarters of the staff on March 1, 1945 was Wasenweiler. Subordinate to him:

Fortress Artillery Division 1523 (1st-3rd Bttr.) - command post in Edingen, commander Hptm. Schulz

IV. / Artillery Regiment 658 (3., 4./Art.Abt.1509, Bttr.1126, 1127, Geb.Kan.Bttr.1085, 1090) - command post in Leiselheim, commander Hptm. Flad

Army Artillery Division 993 (1st-3rd Bttr., 4th/Art.Abt.1525, 8./Art.Abt.1526) - command post 1km west of Merdingen, commander Hptm. Münz

The staff was captured by the US in March 1945, which the stamp hereby proves.

Enjoy watching 😀
