Pivert Posted November 23, 2022 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2022 Hello, I just bought this patch of the 19th century (12cm) Is it possible to date it more precisely? thanks Thomas
Allan H. Posted November 23, 2022 Share #2 Posted November 23, 2022 By looking at the crown above the insignia, we can determine that it was made and worn during the reign of Queen Victoria. She passed away in 1901, so we can conclude that it was made prior to that time. To me, it looks like other bullion work that I have seen from the 1880's, but I can't be certain of the timeframe any more than that. Pivert Posted November 23, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted November 23, 2022 Thank you for taking the time to confirm that information. Would you happen to know where this patch (12cm/4.72in) was sewn (flag, saddle, uniform ... ?) Thomas
