Could you please look and see if that is the case? If it is, I would look towards this badge having been worn by a Sikh, perhaps in the Indian Army or Pakistan. It could also possibly be worn by a Sikh serving in the British forces. The Sikh religion, besides requiring men to not cut their hair and to wear a turban, require men to carry a dagger. I had a friend in college who carried a tiny dagger attached to a comb and stuck under his turban in order to meet the requirement.
