Van Heutsz Regiment beret (Korean War era)

I wanted to share this beret which I believe dates to the late 40s-early 50s (brown sweatband, black lining).  The location of the piercings, i.e., the holes, in the badge makes it the first variant, introduced in 1951.  What's also interesting is the clear plastic that has been fitted between the badge and flash. 

 

I don't usually see Dutch berets that are this old.
