Came across a few photos of those South Korean Soldiers that were assigned directly to British and British Commonwealth Units during the Korean War, an exact usage of ROK personnel like the U.S. Army's KATUSA program, ROKs were also integrated into Belgian and the Dutch Battalions apparently.

Other KATCOMs one with the Aussies,  with the one in the  Beret, which would be a Dark Blue at this date, is I believe a member of the British 1st Battalion  Durham Light Infantry.

British KATCOMS interestingly assigned to a Royal Signals Unit, the Cap Badge is a new version, searches indicate it was for the berets, not sure, we guess though its adopted in the post war late 40s.

I believe this photo is the Koreans attached to the New Zealand signal detachment with 16 Field Regiment Royal NZ Artillery.

the kiwis wore a Khaki beret with a black diamond flash behind the badge, the signal badge worn was the WWII type with jimmy in a oval surmounted by a crown.
