The 2nd buckle has the wrong color crown on it.

 

The crown should be neusilber color or "nickel silver" color to match the buckle box/frame.

 

Someone placed a wrong color Hessen crown on this buckle.  This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have seen this anomaly mistake, in viewing this buckle posted here.

 

The 115th Lieb Garde Infantry wore an all nickel silver buckle.

 

Yes, it is a private purchase style buckle, and unfortunately has the wrong color Hessen crown on it.

 

As a side note: on these neusilber buckles, I normally see the "U" shaped catch in a brass color. And the roller pin and the two claw pins would normally be seen in brass color also. I'll post a photo of a normal issue 1-piece Hessian buckle.

This is the way we normally see the Issued 1-piece buckle for the Hessen or Hessian 115th Lieb Garde Infantry Regiment.
