Well I've basically finished the figures. They have to get some tweaking done, but I like how they came out. The "Erbsentarn" camo is a little subdued with the weathering, but it shows up pretty good. I'll be adding some rifle slings and a MG 42 ammo belt. BTW, I added Eckstein cigarettes to the tank crew. Now I can get a start on the base and groundwork. I'm debating about adding a tree. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! I was going to post some WIP pictures but I decided to work through and finish my diorama. It's a simple diorama and when I looked at it, it reminded me of a mirror image of my 'KNOCK, KNOCK, The Fall of Saigon' dio. I call this one 'The Last Hurrah' and its based on the s.Pz.Jgt.Abt 512 that fought its last battle at Paderborn, Germany. Along with the s.Pz.Jgt.Abt 507 they bloodied the nose of the US 3rd Armored Division before succumbing to overwhelming Allied numbers. Later, remnants of this unit surrendered at Iserlohn, Germany in May 1945. The dio shows the crew of the jagdtiger having one last cigarette before the battle as the infantry sets up a hasty machine gun nest. The figures are from Tamiya, except the TC which is from Warriors. I hope you like it and as always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated. I believe I'll be going back for another tour in Southeast Asia.

Proud Kraut

Amazing what you realized with this old Tamiya kit. Your Jagdtiger is top-notch. So are the figures and the whole setting. I like your dio very much, well done, Manny - Hurrah!

Thank you all for your comments. I truly appreciate them. I'm just glad that there are some remarkable new modelers on this site and at US Militaria.

Well before I say good bye to this build, I thought I'd add some more pics with a photo background instead of the stark white one. I hope you like them.

Well I'm back on the "western front". I'm building a Tamiya Jagdtiger "Hunting" Tiger. It's the old motorized model. This will be my second assault gun/tank destroyer. I've primed it with the German primer colors and added a minimum of equipment. I ordered track links, but I didn't care for the ones I received. So more were ordered and should be here in a day or two. I'll start painting my vehicle soon and add figures and a base. Here are a couple of pictures. As always all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Hi Manny.

That is a fantastic project and end result.

This is a little off topic, and you may have seen it previously, but the short two minute footage at this link has the 'Schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 512' surrendering to the US Army at Iserlohn in 1945.

Kind regards

Gunner...
