WWII Lend Lease Remington 1903’s

I’ve read a fair amount about Lend Lease rifles that went to the UK during WWII, however, everything I’ve read about these rifles always came from authors in the U.S.  My question is this, are there any folks in the UK that have any historical knowledge about these Lend Lease rifles and what role they played during the war?  Below is a link to an article about a unique group of Lend Lease rifles that went to England during WWII and made their way back to the U.S., via a WWII USAAF Officer.  The article makes for some interesting reading if you have a few minutes.  Comments?
