patches Posted March 21, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2023 Just seen this on The Bay, GI modified the scabbard to hook to Pistol or Cartridge Belt with the familiar hook wire attachment, like from a canteen cover etc. Bayonet seems WWI, but the scabbard as we see is WWII, a 1940 Date. Allan You maybe right Allan, on relooking at it, that modification looks for a lack of a better word, Arsenal, done rather that a ad hoc field expediency done by a GI.
