A Dependent or a Kid from the neighborhood near the Barracks who was allowed to tool around inside the gate????

 

A late 30s photo, lets say 1938, kid there with one of the helmets on.

Probably 1945.   The Wehrmacht was forced to conscript rather young recruits

Yes and they did in many cases have to use bicycles for those units that used to go around in trucks.

Found another, though in this case kid has what appears to be a Toy Helmet rather that one of the Soldier's one, alo a real odd loking Toy Gun. Again no date unit or location given.

Here's one,  a kid seems to be helping this Lanser don his pack before the kick off of the big victory parade in Berlin after the fall of France on July 1940, what was it, the 17th or 18th of July, unit troops are in is not mentioned unfortunately. The kid looks like he's wearing a toy helmet right.

Auf Der Wache

 

At a Kaserne somewhere in Der Heimat 1941, probably a Regimental Depot, with the soldier, who we see was at the Front, maybe Russia already, as who we see has a Black Wound Badge, is assigned back to the depot for a spell .

Nice kiddie helmet, seems to me all these kiddie helmets then would be a light weight  metal right, just like the doughboy helmets here in America then, plastic ones not coming out till the 50s-even 60s. Photo taken of course sometime in the 30s

Kids with troops of the 34th Infantry Division, with two of them wearing toy helmets, they are with a full size toy 75mm Infamy Gun, the 7.5 cm leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18. perhaps the men built it for them, photo from 1937 in The Eifel Region. The division itself has it's home depot in Trier.
