itemco16527 Posted March 30 Share #1 Posted March 30 Hi, guys. I got this ribbon bar off of eBay a few weeks back, and was wondering if the recipient could be identified based off of the awards somehow. I figure the Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor and all of the palm devices (11 in total!) may help to really narrow it down. I'm assuming these ribbons belonged to a General or Admiral based off the Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor, and they served in WWII and probably Indochina based on both types of Croix de Guerre. Is there a way to research French awards like this? I'd love to be able to put a name with these ribbons if at all possible. Thanks!
itemco16527 Posted May 16 Author Share #2 Posted May 16 Just received a second ribbon bar to the same officer. This one, however, has the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor!
