German Japanese WW2 yardsale and flea market finds

How come when I go to the flea market all I see is endless tee shirts, used clothes, junk and piles of stuff that should have been thrown away long ago. 😆 Gee whiz!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any markets where people who empty out houses or storage units go to sell?

I don’t write about the times I strike out which are far more numerous. With all the retired people there is tons of stuff in Florida.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION east coast sure, St. Pete and sw Fla sure.  Middle of the state and Tampa... well we get tons of people who relocate here, but they are NOT RETIREES.  Oh well ...

Correct- in PA I go to 2 flea markets pretty much every Sunday from end of April to end of September. Last year my only finds were a brass covered shield bible, arisaka bayonet, wooden .50 ammo box, Japanese officer canteen and saki cups, an HJ ceramic tinnie and US folding shovel from ww2. Those were the deals and it was my best year. Normally I get 1-2 good finds a year. Once in a while there will be some hot shot with a garand bayonet and German helmet and think they have the best table but want top dollar.

I lived in PA for 30 years. Pennsylvania was very very good to me.

The M40 has the type and color of paint usually seen on an M-35. The Sipo has its original leather wrist band, the photos are of the German pre war leaders, a couple of Japanese boxes from Guadalcanal and an armband. One of the other guys found a paratrooper no decal for $5.

Your helmet is the same Luftwaffe helmet as mine. Decal in great condition & color matches. Gotta start following you around. Great score

Early in the morning I walk around the market with my coffee and friends. Two different buddies were yard sailing, found them and brought them in. Coffee and helmets.
