easterneagle87 Posted July 23, 2023 #1 Posted July 23, 2023 Found this badge inside a bag that had WW2 US Army chevrons and patches. Bullion on red felt. I believe a Brit style pin on the back. Any ideas?
patches Posted July 24, 2023 #2 Posted July 24, 2023 It is WWII-Post WWII 1940s British, or more correctly Indian. The Peshawar District, yours is a varient, as it is commonly seen as a Square Back. The way it is made no doubt is to only attach it to the British/Indian Khaki Drill Uniform/Jungle Green Drill Uniform so Formation Sign and NCO Chevrons if worn can be removed before laundering, just like many of the Indian and Chinese Made CBI, and Army Air Corps shoulder patches worn by our guys out there on their Khaki Items, and those patches from the 1930s from the Hawaiian Division and Hawaiian Department made to be worn on the Khaki 4 Pocket Coats of the day.
