Old Marine Posted July 26 Share #1 Posted July 26 A picker friend of mine brought over a few items from a large lot of reproduction German militaria he just acquired. I am not well versed or collect German items. Also, I am not a reenactor so I don’t know much about reproductions or reenactment gear. From looking these items over they look pretty well made and are in really great condition. None of the items show any signs of wear. If you guys could tell me anything about these items, Good, Bad, Value? I would really appreciate any assistance, comments or observations. thank you, This Afrika Korps pith helmet was made in Vietnam and looks more like an NVA helmet. I don’t think this is a good repro. A few goggles. Link to comment
SARGE Posted July 27 Share #2 Posted July 27 Mediocre quality reproductions IMHO. The first cap is a copy of Hitler's peaked cap but this one is of poor quality and the bullion is really poorly done. The Army (Heer) style crusher has decent flat "Bevo" style reproduction insignia and the Dalluge marking on fakes has been around for a long time. This one might be a better quality reproduction for a reenact-or. Link to comment
Old Marine Posted July 27 Author Share #3 Posted July 27 Thanks Sarge, I have no knowledge or interest in these things. My friend is hoping to sell them, but I can’t image they have much value. thanks for taking the time to give me your opinions. Link to comment
