River Rat1 Posted August 21, 2023 #1 Posted August 21, 2023 Here is a Istituto Idrografafico Della Marina Italian Deck watch/clock. Has a Lemana movement in an oversized case in a mounting with a cushion inside for the bulkhead to be used as a clock onboard ship. The same movement I seen in French navy deck watches. Has the look of WW2 era but might be from the 1950's if anyone here can help me date it I would apricate it. Has cool hands and dial seen the watch without outer case for sale but rare to get the mounting case. Istituto Idrografafico Della Marina is part of the Italian navy that does hydrographic survey of the Italian seas and producing the national nautical documentation. Guess they make Naval charts. Istituto Idrografafico Della Marina in English Hydrographic Institute of the Navy. Not like most ships clocks has a one-day movement you got to wind it every day.
