I found this in a collection I inherited. Looks like a soldier collected various british insignia during the war. Comments welcome

Beautiful.  You should frame it for display.  A real treasure.

Hi ussjfkcv67,

This is commonly known as a 'Hate Belt' and worn by veterans of both sides after WW1. I understand the name originates from the fact that the Germans would collect cap badges of their vanquished enemies on their belt. The practice was then taken up by veterans who collide cap badges and attached them to their belts.

Gunner

You have the following regiments on the belt

Royal Army Service Corps

Royal Engineers

Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry

Essex Regiment

Royal Artillery collar badge

Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers

York and Lancaster Regiment

Royal Army Ordnance Corps

Leicestershire Regiment

Royal Artillery

Royal Artillery collar badge

Lincolnshire Regiment

South Staffordshire Regiment

Royal Berkshire Regiment

Royal Warwickshire Regiment

Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment

Northamptonshire Regiment

Royal Air Force Medical Branch collar badge

Royal Air Force

A nice collection
