waterworks Posted June 22, 2024 #1 Posted June 22, 2024 I did these pics ages ago under covid lock down, not just random as I worked in firearms manufacture, I considered technical feasibility but allowed for some complete fantasy. ( allow for the fact I have no knowledge of photo editing and did it on a free app) The great ergonomics of the Thompson with the great manufacturing simplicity of the STEN. Lebel carbine converted to box magazine feed for trench warfare 8mm Kurz FG42 and MP44 hybrid Luger frame on a Webley automatic pistol Webley automatic pistol with a Glock slide A Riesing stock and magazine on a STEN A Welrod with magazine feed ( still bolt action ) Worst picture edit ever seen 🤣 FAL 7.62 x 39 .
earlymb Posted June 23, 2024 #2 Posted June 23, 2024 I guess the Thompsten actually sort of happened with the Sten Mk.V, and the FG42 in 7.92 Kurz would also have been quite possible. Fun exercise!
Bill in VA Posted June 28, 2024 #3 Posted June 28, 2024 Well... not sure what to say about these; as a Thompson owner, however, I beg to differ about its "great ergonomics." It's front-heavy and the stock could stand to lose at least an inch. About the only one I find worse is the Hakim.
