1900's wooden chest

Hi everyone 

I am new to this forum and I was wondering if you could help me out with a chest I found in a second hand shop in Pihia New Zealand.

 

This chest belonged to commander John S Dalison.

He received a royal award and he was very successful and recognized in the navy.

 

I have attached some information I found online of him aswell as a framed copy of his award he received from the Royal Humane Society, on the 16th of May 1933.

 

Do you think this Item is worth selling and if so where would I sell it and for how much.

 

Any help, feedback or opinions is appreciated
