Hi Patches,

Regimental Aviation Badge.  I have two of those. The dress uniform pilots badge looks like the attached photo. Was looking for a more current photo of the badge warn today, the picture is of a 60’s-70’s badge. Thank you for responding

These are the two I have. Top one is dress uniform bottom is worn on a flight suit. They come in silver for enlisted and gold for officers. The actual name of these is the Austrian Armed Forces Troop Insignia of the Air Force Badge. My error calling it a Regimental badge. The actual pilots badge is called the Bundesheer Pilotenabszeichen and is worn on the dress uniform pocket as well as the Troop insignia above the pocket. To the best of my knowledge this is correct, but I’m not an expert.

Found this one from a dealer in Austria on Friday. Not mint but okay. Search continues for a mint badge.

An interesting circa 1935 photograph of two Austrian Policemen (NCO & Officer) wearing the early Pilot badges on their right breast pocket along with their other WWI awards.

Nice, thanks for posting the photo’s. Saw a picture of a current officer wearing the wing above the pocket and the badge on the pocket. It’s hard to see the badge but the outline can be seen.
