SNLF helmet transition from metal to painted insignia

Hello,
Can someone tell me which year the helmets for the Japanese Naval Landing Forces went over to the yellow painted anchor on their helmets from the earlier metal insignia?

I believe IJN helmets went over to the stencil anchor in late 1943 or early 1944

No not your imagination, I'm in my early 60's and Shemp was always my favorite Stooge, and I also like a lot of old horror movies,e.g. The thing from another world with Ken Tobey and James Arness 👍. If you have a stencil can you please post some photos inside and out.Here's mine.

The nice ones are getting harder to find, the very few that I'm seeing have liners that look like they went through a mulcher, no tie tapes and are very expensive. Keep an eye on Italian War Front, he gets some REALLY nice Japanese lids but they go fast. Good Luck Steve and if you do find one please post some photos
