Need help with British pith helmet

Boy did I screw this listing up and just noticed today. Don’t know how I doubled up on the photos or what happened to what I typed? With that said I have had this pith helmet for many years and I believe it dates to before WWII. I have never been able to ID the badge so any help is appreciated and what era it’s actually from.
