WW1 Bayonet Frog ID

Hello

Is this a WW1 German Bayonet Frog.  Unfortunately someone has cut out a square of leather in the rear of the belt loop..

Yes, perhaps for a "butcher bayonet" (S98/05) if the pouch is wide enough.  The frog has been modified by cutting a square of leather out of the belt loop as you mention.  The pouch has also been modified with the extra lines of wider stitching as seen in your photos.  Any maker markings?

No markings that I could see.  I think the cut out may have obliterated them, if there were any...
