bldrhouse Posted December 2, 2024 #1 Posted December 2, 2024 Picked this up and would appreciate info on REAL, REPRO, OR...? The label appears as authentic as other UK items I've seen.. The belt retainer buckle has "will not rust" on back Note that the epaulette insignia are attached with the brass (?) cotter-type pin and a very tiny stitch. There are button holes along on the back of the jacket waist for -- I assume -- pants? Thanks, zk
Tonomachi Posted December 2, 2024 #2 Posted December 2, 2024 The British battle dress uniform may be authentic to the period but not the LRDG title. I have never seen one made this way so in my opinion it was added afterwards to deceive folks into thinking this uniform had something to do with the LRDG.
ScottG Posted December 5, 2024 #3 Posted December 5, 2024 Pretty sure the jacket is post war as the date stamp is not like any I have seen on a period piece nor is the label. Scott
