Just picked up a nice German banner. Just seeing what the forum thinks.

I added three pictures. One showing the stitching.

Looks like a nice banner. With both ends reinforced (hoist end and fly end) it looks almost like an unfinished vehicle recognition banner where the only thing missing are the grommets. What is the size of this banner? The stitching of the roundel is consistent with Third Reich era sewing methods. It looks as if the white fabric of the roundel was not cut in a perfect circle and there was some excess white cloth that appears to have been folded under and the roundel sewn to the fabric. I presume this is a one sided banner?

The size is 58 inches by 40 inches. It is a double sided one also.

A good size for display and exhibit. Not too large/small. This would be a tad bit smaller than a vehicle marker sized banner/flag which would measure approximately 40" x 79".  I have also seen some that are 27.5" x 38" as well.

I would have no issues adding this flag to my collection.

Thanks for the information. I feel good on the purchase. I am a young collector and I don’t know everything. Just making sure I’m getting good authentic items.

If you have future items in mind that you are wanting to purchase you may want to post images here prior to purchasing in order to get the items vetted, rather than find out after purchasing you wasted money on a fake.

Good luck with your collection

A nice-looking Wimple (pennant), Roundel, swastika, stitching all look to be consistent with Third Reich era made pennants.

Would have no issues adding this one to my collection..

Common uses were vertical hanging, parades and other functions,,
