Hello, I am interested in this knife, the seller claims it is a WW2 German Pilot knife, but I cannot find another one like it, and to me doesn't seem too German. The Sheath is marked "KIRBACH", and has a plane and a star on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It is not German. Possibly private purchase American. The star and the P38 on the sheath make me think American. Kirbach might be his name. And I looked at it again and see what I believe to be U. S. sergeant stripes on the sheath.

I agree with Marshallj that it is a US knife with US motifs carved into the scabbard.

Okay, that is what I had suspicions of, it just didn't look German, but it being privately purchased by an American seems plausible. Thank you for the help.
