RMEAV8R Posted January 5, 2025 #1 Posted January 5, 2025 Listed locally, as an 1980's Iraqi sleeping bag. To me I looks like a similar design to the 1950's casualty bags from Korean War era. Also looks similar to German Army sleeping bags. Any help on the indentation appreciated.
Solution RMEAV8R Posted January 6, 2025 Author Solution #2 Posted January 6, 2025 Answered on the USMF forum. Thanks to militatiaone, Lance. Answer pasted below. militariaone Posted 1 hour ago #4 Greetings all, Granted, purchased from an outside of Iraq contractor but the sleeping bag's tag has the Iraqi Military's Jhim property stamp on it. As such, it was purchased for use by the Iraqi Military. See here for more about those stamps https://www.middleeastmilitaria.com/iraqi-tagjihm-guide.html Think of a Jhimmarking like a "US" or Ordnance Bomb's stamp. Translation: it is definitively an Iraqi Military Sleeping bag just manufactured/contracted from outside of Iraq. Best, V/r Lance
