US Army 86 Posted January 31, 2025 #1 Posted January 31, 2025 I had this F-S dagger for a while. It’s stamped England under the cross guard and on the top of the cross guard looks like worn markings of the broad arrow and possibly the B2 mark. Since it has an alloy handle my research (Bill Walters book, Google search & trade shows vendors & buyers) the dagger was manufactured during 1944 to the end of WWII. I’ve seen a few 3rd pattern FS daggers with the broad arrow on the handle above the cross guard and some had the broad arrow & B2 mark on the cross guard and some didn’t. Recently I was at a military show and one interested buyer insisted it’s a post WWII dagger made to be imported to the US. He was trying to buy it for $50, I was asking $225, which might have been slightly higher especially since it doesn’t have the leather scabbard. Earlier this week I tried to list it on USMF selling site but it was removed because it’s British made. I hope to list it here on WMF, once they verify my USMF information. Any information from the members can provide would be greatly appreciated.
