Doc_KeystoneDiv Posted February 26, 2025 #1 Posted February 26, 2025 Greetings all! Thank you for approving my membership to WMF! I am a long time collector who is in the process of labeling, tagging and inventorying my collection. I have spent considerable time on this project in the last 6 months, and often run into dead ends, which is why I have joined this forum. I also belong to the IACMC forum, which I love and have learned an immense amount of information from. I try to research an item for no less than 45 minutes before I post questions to a forum as to not become too burdensome to forum members or make too many posts. I am extremely grateful for any information and help that is given to me. I try to keep detailed notes on what I do learn, and will happily answer any questions from other members that I can. I have several focuses in my collection; British and Commonwealth items from the First and Second World Wars has always been my favorite. I have loved the aesthetic of their uniforms and equipment from the time I was old enough to flip through picture books. I especially love the Highland units, and tend to focus on the Gordon Highlanders. I also enjoy Camouflage uniforms. I probably have over 150 various uniforms. Some of my more rare pieces include Rhodesian Brushstroke, UCP-Delta, French TAP mle 47, and tigerstripe (only pants, so far). I would love to eventually own some original waffen SS camouflage (Dot is probably my favorite) an Original Tigerstripe jacket, and Original USMC Urban T-Block. I have a large amount of US Vietnam War items, mainly focused around the US Army infantry. I am still in search of a nice 1st pattern Jungle jacket, and am trying to complete my collection of subdued on twill "1st pattern" unit patches. I am also always on the hunt for original Chineese military parts for a type 56 milled AK with underfolding bayonet. The last focus of my collection would be the Iraq War, particularly bring back items. I am an Army vet, I served as a combat medic in an infantry platoon and did one tour to Iraq. I currently work in the Merchant Marine Thanks again for approving my membership, I look forward to learning and sharing my knowledge base with all!
