Doc_KeystoneDiv Posted February 26, 2025 #1 Posted February 26, 2025 Another day, another Italian militaria sponsored migraine... Pictured is an Italian Navy parka style field jacket, dated 1998, in the 1960's variation of Italian navy Telo mimteco. I believe Sportsman's guide was selling these a year or so ago. My first questions are; What is the model of this type of jacket? Was it general issue to all Italian navy, or specific to Bn San Marco or COMBUSIN? When would it have been phased out? There seems to be very little online about the models of Italian mimteco camouflage uniforms. (I've searched for literally hours). Almost everything I see in Telo Mimteco gets referred to as "M29" but that is the camo pattern rather than the garment pattern. My next big question is; my understanding is that Mimteco was issued from 1929 to 1992. This is dated 1998. Whats the deal? Is this considered a different pattern than m1929 Telo Mimteco? Without a doubt, Italian militaria has been one of the most difficult series of uniform to research. I sincerely appreciate any and all help.
