Hello all,

Here is my display of a Korean People's Army's Sergeant 1st Class' Extended Service Uniform.

Once a soldier completes their conscription in the KPA, they have the option to refuse discharge and continue their service, forfeiting the chance to return home and other possible opportunities, such as attending university.

If they choose to re-enlist, these soldiers are issued officer uniforms with extended service collar tabs and are given priority in award recommendations. As such, it is not uncommon to see these soldiers with more medals than some officers.

Extended service collar tabs can be identified by their gold base, outlined in the colour of their service branch, as well as their rank (red, blue, green). The last photo shows the protagonist from a 4.25 Film Studio movie wearing his extended service uniform after choosing to re-enlist in his communications unit upon completing his conscription.

Items are all original North Korean except for the Sam Browne belt, which is a Soviet-made substitute.
