WW2 dated Leather Pants; Italian? Aviation or Tanker?

I am hoping the markings will be a clue to another more knowledgeable collector. These are very supple leather and nicely made. They have belt loops at their cuffs, and built in suspenders at the waist. The lining is a coarse weave cloth. They were picked up by a Captain in the 45th Division, and came out of his estate.  I wonder if he got them at an military airfield in Italy. Tanker's pants was just a guess, I think they are too nice to be tanker gear.
