mbec Posted June 5, 2025 #1 Posted June 5, 2025 Hi all, I have a question about this dagger my uncle gave me long ago. Is it an SA dagger? The reason I ask is because the scabbard is black and I thought it should be brown. Any help solving this mystery for me is appreciated. Thanks Mark
Marshallj Posted June 5, 2025 #2 Posted June 5, 2025 Not a mystery at all. The NSKK used black scabbards. Other than that, same dagger was used by both organizations.
S.ChrisKelly Posted July 19, 2025 #4 Posted July 19, 2025 That's a beautiful Holbein ~ style original SA dagger. That may be an ᛋᛋ scabbard.

Mr.Jerry Posted July 22, 2025 #6 Posted July 22, 2025 The group mark Mi is for Mitte, which was found on both SA and NSKK daggers, There were only 5 NSKK regions, vs. 20 some for the SA, so that does line up with it being an solid NSKK dagger.
