Early German Photograph

Looking for any help in identifying this photograph as well as deciphering the last name at the bottom?

The signature at the bottom says "Hans~Georg Hautan".  Looks like he's wearing a bronze SA sports badge, unless that's a blemish on the photograph.  On the shoulder straps is a "X" (Roman number 10).  Early photograph, I'd date it 1935~1937.
