My point is that is not the NSDAP eagle but the army eagle. I do agree that the swastika is NSDAP.

If a pre-war Austrian tunic showed up at a show with a breast eagle on it, I doubt anyone would believe it!  Neat photo.

Here's one sold a ways back. modified with buttons on pocket flaps, and it's a mid war on worn one by virtue of the Close Combat Clasp.

I would  imagine all these serving Austrian Soldiers, Officers included, had to do a lot of readjusting, even as simple as changing the way they stood at Attention, and of marching Deusches Heer way, Presenting Arms etc etc

A  Panzermann wears a tunic over his Black uniform, looks like the cotton summer version rather then wool no?
