I'm getting closer to identify most features but would hate to drop $1,000 on junk - thank you - Mike Is there a way to respond without quoting the post one is respond? Scott thats an awfully nice offer. I Used to live in Kalamazoo up till 25 years ago. I have to decline until things get straightened out down here. Having open heart Monday. Barring a slip of the scalpel I'll have recoup time - which should give me time to look over the books & compare good helmets to bad. Really appreciate the input! - Mike Thanks Bill, I understand that the leather for IJN is cow & IJA pigskin (or vice versa). Gotta say I appreciate the information & time all of you put in helping me to be able to spot a helmet & know it's an M90 or not (& why) - Mike This is all great information & I'm taking notes & putting them in my phone (in the event I'm cognizant) Thank you - Mike Good luck on your surgery, you’ll sure have plenty of downtime, hope the recovery is as smooth as it can be!

Whether it be M1’s which are. A lot more simple or German and Japanese. Or British. They all have there differences and niches and it’s a real learning curve. Also, good to buy from a reputable dealer especially with these IJN helmets. I recommend Ruptured Duck, because they always have great stuff and it’s guaranteed to be original. Plus there easy to work with and very professional. I may be biased. But aren’t we all 🤣. Good luck finding a helmet and have bunkering. Remember books are your best friend! Gear Fan Also if I remember correctly this book has some good info on IJN helmets, it’s more of a broad overview, but I’m pretty sure it has some images and explains the difference info helmets. Thank you again. I have both books recommended on order. Also starting with T 90 helmets I started comparing helmets for sale against those on Griffin's site & started using other recommended sites. Seeing differences in the shapes & now look for the stitching on the headband. Again really appreciate your input & support
