Tiger Mori Posted June 30 #1 Posted June 30 Nice to meet you all, and please excuse the self-promotion. I’m a Japanese researcher who has been studying the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces for over 20 years. I’ve recently completed Volume 1 of a self-published book series based on my research, and I’d be honored to share it with you. https://rvnafpajapan.gumroad.com/l/RVNAF_1 This book illustrates and explains the uniforms and personal equipment of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces during the First Indochina War and the Vietnam War. It covers the period from 1949, when the Vietnamese National Army was established, to the fall of South Vietnam in 1975. Volume 1 focuses on the evolution of military and field uniforms, field uniform insignia, small arms, and personal equipment used by the Vietnamese infantry, airborne, ranger, and marine corps. The book consists of 79 full-color pages, primarily composed of illustrations. It is designed as an introductory guide, making it easy to understand for beginners. Number of illustrations included: 38 examples of military uniforms, 52 firearms, 145 personal equipment items, 53 combat uniforms and headgear and 318 insignia with wearing positions. My hope is that this book will contribute to a deeper understanding of the subject and help advance further research in this field. Thank you for your interest and support!
