Starting a new topic here  to showcase photos I find of the Luftwaffe Helmets Being Worn Pre and during the war.

 

First up, a Recuit taking the oath, looks Flakmann, date and location unknown.

Being worn by a Bomber Crewman, have no idea unfortunately what kind of bomber.

Post#3...  Looks like the radio operator/air gunner position on a Dornier of some kind. Not entirely sure.

Dispatch Riders from a Flak unit HQ,I think Russia, this despite the word FRANCE we see on rail car, this perhaps being a commandeered one for German use,

Flak unit, at some kind of memorial service July 1938, description where found says a Church service, you know Church Parade, but this is most unlikely given the Luftwaffe being irreligious, and with no Chaplain Corps.

I would not think a church service since they are in formation with NCOs on the end of the line and holding rifles with fixed bayonets.  More likely a funeral or parade IMHO.  I\

Yes, an interesting photo. A rehearsal of a "Grosser Zapfenstreich" was my first thought. "Helm ab zum Gebet!"

Great shot of helmet wearing base personal manning a MG 15 mounted on the Anti Aircraft Tripod, airfield is somewhere in France in the late summer of 1940

A most odd one, Luftwaffe of a Flak unit wearing Czech Helmets with some kind of Maxim Type MG. Two thing come up as to why, that this photo taken in early 1939 in Czechoslovakia, and are posing wearing these, or for some reason there was a small issue of them for wear.

Flak men taking a break Breda The Netherlands May 1940. Of special note is the two men, one sitting and drinking, and the one standing acting as a waiter for his comrades, are wearing the specially made Luftwaffe's Motorcycle Rubberized Greatcoat in Field Blue.
