Just bought this off eBay. I am a retired US Navy Boatswain Mate I know my stuff when I buy the Pipes for the US Navy but buying other countries is sort of new to me. Been wanting to get a British Navy issued Boatswain pipe you never call it a whistle. Know the WW2 ones had the broad arrow mark on the bowl. I think this one could be older maybe WW1. I figure the sailor after this was issued to him had it engraved looks to be made out of silver. I got 5 boatswain pipes in my collection now after buying this one today. Hope it was a good buy. Has been repaired that dont bother me my first issued pipe I snapped the reed and had to have a snip gas weld it to fix it and I used that one for a few years.

Well got another incoming British Navy boatswain pipe. This one made by Hudson made before or during WW1. I got both issue marks the British Navy used on their Pipes.
