us82bravo Posted October 8 #1 Posted October 8 Received this item from a coworker who was in a Veterans Group with me at our workplace. He was a 20 year soldier (1965-1985) and had served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. He did not give me any details on the how, when or where he obtained it and I did not press him for information. I do not know when he served in Vietnam. He was a Bronze Star recipient and died in 2004. The item is approximately 40" by 58 " and has a fringe around all sides. There are no apparent attachment points for any kind of mounting. Item shows wear and has a partial seam separation. See photos for condition. Lettering has a metallic type thread Fringe detail I do not know what exactly this is. I have checked internet sources and have not found anything like it. My attempt at Google translate for the verbiage did not produce anything meaningful probably due to my inability to differentiate the correct lettering. Any comments, information or suggested references are appreciated. Thanks, Larry
Gavin D. Posted October 8 #2 Posted October 8 Gift to the Central Highlands People. Probably from a unit in Tay Ninh. A nice VC presentation flag!
