British T-Handled Shovel 1943

I had to do some hasty fix-it’s to a low spot that collects rainwater. This is a job for my 1943 British shovel! I love (gently) using gear when I can. Don’t worry, I’ll do a better job here if and when my sore back stops hurting. I can’t recall where I got the shovel but think it was from my favorite local surplus shop that closed a good 15+ years ago. Anyone else use your stuff around the house/yard?

For more extensive excavation jobs, I call in my granddogs. Gunji boy is currently working on an extensive system of foxholes and combat trenches in my side yard. Baylan boy is doing the fit testing.
